Basics of Granny Squares - With Kamaile and Alex - Class 1 of 2
Learn a new technique with crochet with the iconic granny square! This class is designed for those who already know how to crochet but want to advance their skills.
The class will be two parts. The first class session will focus on basic granny square design and techniques. Followed by a second class in which we will work on a daisy pattern granny square.
Class is $45 registration.
Intro to Tunisian Crochet with Michelle
Get to know all about TUNISIAN crochet with Michelle! In this introductory class, you will learn the differences between traditional and tunisian crochet, and how to make a few basic tunisian crochet stitches to create a small project in class to take home. You will leave with a hook, some yarn, a couple of practice patterns, and a reference guide.
No crochet experience of any sort is required. This class is perfect for absolute beginners or those wanting a refresher, especially before taking any “Crochet Skill Builder” or other crochet project class. The “Crochet Skill Builder” classes are designed to help you take these basic skills and build upon them, to increase both your expertise and confidence.
Class cost: $35 registration, plus $15 materials fee paid day of in shop

Color Theory Workshop - Special Guest Briana Arlene
Color theory this… color theory that… Everyone is talking about color theory, but what is it?
Color theory is something that Briana Arlene is coming to Lula Faye Fiber to discuss in a workshop! So if you’ve ever wanted to understand color theory and work that into your textile work, this is the class to attend..
This class will introduce you to the basics of color theory—contrast, harmony, value, and saturation—with a focus on how they apply to knitting projects like colorwork, stripes, and fades. Students will explore how different colors interact in yarn form and how to build palettes they’ll love to knit and wear.
Expect to leave this workshop with an understanding of foundational color theory principles, as well as how to apply these principles to yarn selection in knitting projects.
Briana suggests bringing a device for note-taking! Another great idea of something to bring to class is perhaps a yarn you’ve been struggling to pair or a pattern for which you would like help selecting a palette

Hipster Hat (Class 2)
Learn to make a Hipster Hat! It is knitted from the bottom up in a 2x2 rib stitch on a circular needle. Choose its length - longer for a loose fit or shorter for a snug fit. It has a folded edge for added coziness.
The Hipster Hat is suitable for the whole family, from babies to adults.
Must know how to knit, purl, and cast-on.
